Be SaskWell: Advancing Digital Connectivity to Support Population Mental Health during COVID-19

Role overview: To participate in the SaskWell service you must complete the enrolment survey. Once complete you will be enrolled into the service for 10-weeks, receiving weekly text messages with mental health and wellness tips, tools and resources. Upon enrolling into SaskWell, you will be paired with a digital mental health tool that you may use throughout the service to help support your mental health and wellness. In addition to this, you will receive weekly wellness tips and resources to help you develop positive coping and self-care skills. Once per week you will also receive polling questions. These questions will help the SaskWell research team improve the service and the content provided
 
Knowledge, experience, skills required: The participant will need to have own or share a cellular device or smartphone and will need to have a basic understanding of how to use a cellular device or a smartphone. The participant will also need to have access to a cellular data plan or WIFI. 
 
Time commitment: The SaskWell service is a free and secure text-based service that is 10-weeks in length. Those who sign-up for and participate in the SaskWell service will receive three text messages per week. The text messages will include wellness tips, digital mental health resources, and polling questions. 
 
Location: Saskatchewan
 
What you can expect from the research team: The research team is available to support you in using the SaskWell service. We can help you sign-up for the service and answer any other questions you may have. It is our hope that the tips and resources that will be provided to you throughout the course of the SaskWell service will help support your well-being.
 
Supports available to participate: Participants who participate in SaskWell for the full 10-weeks will be entered in a draw for the chance to win a gift card. Additionally, participants who agree to participate in an interview following the completion of the SaskWell service will be compensated for their time with a gift card.
