Role overview: 
  • Lead the direction of research priorities and questions being asked to ensure they are meaningful to the patients that are impacted by this work.
  • Provide input on ways to approach and recruit research study participants.
  • Review and provide feedback 
 
Knowledge, experience, skills required: We are looking for individuals with the experience of hospitalization for postpartum mental illness to be patient partners. We welcome volunteers who have been hospitalized for acute postpartum mental illness in Canada and we are specifically looking to recruit people from Saskatchewan at this time. 
 
Time commitment: 3 or 4 virtual meetings per year (over three years) supplemented with email and/or teleconference communication in between meetings.  Meetings will typically be 1-1.5 hours in length.  We are hoping to connect for a first meeting Summer 2022. 
 
Location: We anticipate that we will mostly meet virtually by Zoom or telephone.
