Exploring Friendship Among Adolescents and Young Adults with Down Syndrome

Role overview: The Patient Partner will be asked to meet with the graduate student via Zoom, on campus or at a location of their choosing to discuss friendship. These meetings will be informal. We can discuss what is important to the adolescent or young adult with Down syndrome over coffee, for instance. 
 
Knowledge, experience, skills required: We are looking for an adolescent or young adult aged 13-21 years with Down syndrome who will be open to discussing their perspective on friendship. 

Time commitment: The patient will likely meet with the graduate student 1-2 hours per month until March.
 
Location: University of Regina, virtual via Zoom or a location of the Patient Partner's choosing.
 
What you can expect from the research team: Meetings to introduce you to the project, one-on-one support.
 
Supports available to participate: Honoraria and expense reimbursement.
