Can Video Priming Improve Informed Consent for Resuscitation Goals for Healthy, Middle-Aged Saskatchewan Patients?

Number of positions available: 2-4
Organization: Anesthesiology Department, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan
Role overview: The patient partner would be directly involved in the video making and editing of both the survey and video the survey questions and recruitment posters/advertisements.
Knowledge, experience, skills required: No required knowledge, experience or skills. If the patient partner has helped develop survey questions in the past, that would be a bonus.
Time commitment: The goal start time is October 1, with video-recording dates to be determined this fall, and video draft review and editing to be done within two weeks after filming. Total 2-3 month commitment, but only 2-4hr to edit the survey, and 2-6hr to edit the video script and final video cut.
Location: Saskatoon or Virtual via Webex.
What you can expect from the research team: Open and easy communication about the process. Actively involving the patient partner in video making and editing process. The research team will support the patient partner with the difficult themes of the project and provide resources if the patient partner needs to talk to a professional.
Supports available to participate: Honoraria.
